SHARP’s
Major Activities in Health Sector Against HIV/AIDS
Health sector in
NWFP needs urgent improvement both on curative and
preventive side. However it is not possible for public
sector alone to cope with the situation. The cooperation,
help and assistance of the private sector is indispensable
in this regard, particularly on the preventive side.
It is in this connection
that SHARP has undertaken programmes of public awareness,
vaccinations and screening tests on HIV/AIDS.
During the recent two years (2003 and 2004) SHARP-Peshawar
office has arranged various activities about HIV/AIDS
on local and provincial levels.
